Krystal Noiseux

Krystal Noiseux is the Education and Outreach Manager for the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, where she oversees statewide education on waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, and proper disposal. She is a champion of standardizing and simplifying the way we communicate proper recycling to the public, and lead Rhode Island to become the first state in the nation to adopt Recycle Across America’s society-wide, standardized bin labels. On any given Sunday you can read Krystal’s popular Q&A column in the Sunday edition of The Providence Journal—a sort of “Dear Abby” for waste management.

Prior to joining Resource Recovery in 2009, Krystal worked in environmental education at Walt Disney World and Harvard University. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Juniata College, an M.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida, and was also trained as a secondary science teacher at Providence College.
