2018 and 2019 have seen an explosion of voluntary, time-bound sustainable packaging commitments, particularly related to plastics. During this session, experts will discuss commitments including: Plastics Europe’s ‘Plastics 2030’, the UK Plastics Pact, and The Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy’s Global Commitment.
Through this panel conversation, attendees will learn the latest updates on how these commitments are being monitored and executed on the ground and also explore specific examples of packaging innovation from brands and the waste management industry to meet commitments, but also go beyond them through the innovation route to fulfill their corporate sustainability goals.
