Smithers Pira and GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition SustPack 2016 conference and exhibition to be held April 11-13

Packaging industry will gather to hear how businesses can be made more sustainable at McCormick Place in Chicago

SustPack 2016 will be held in McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois.

AKRON, Ohio- September 30, 2015 — GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC) and Smithers Pira, are pleased to announce the dates and location for SustPack 2016, a 3 day event offering a comprehensive look at how businesses are leading their sustainable initiatives through packaging design and sustainable materials management. SustPack 2016 will bring together close to 500 key stakeholders at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, April 11-13, 2016.

Building off of this year’s highly successful SustPack 2015 conference, the 2016 event will continue to serve the needs of the entire supply chain, from material suppliers, to converters, brand owners, and other end users. With a focus on “Business Made Sustainable”, SustPack 2016 will bring insightful presentations on how sustainability has an effect on ROI, corporate goal setting and execution, case studies of brands that lead, and cities that are paving the way for systems thinking and what’s new in traditional packaging materials.Print

This year’s event will also include dedicated SPC Industry Leadership Committee meetings; a variety of site tours: Method Soap Factory and Goose Island Brewery just to name a few; workshops on compostability and packaging design; breakout sessions; panel discussions and special evening receptions including dinner and dialogue events taking place at green restaurants throughout the city. Content selection will be guided by consulting experts including SPC and Smithers Pira representatives and industry stakeholders.
