Tod Arbogast oversees the development of Avon’s comprehensive long-term strategy, building on the company’s foundation of environmental progress. In this role, he manages the balance of Avon's growth strategy with goals to minimize Avon’s impact on natural and human resources. His team’s role is to fuel sustainable innovation, embed sustainability into the heart of the business model, and mobilize key constituencies to measured sustainable action. He works with leaders to implement and execute those strategies, taking into account economic value to the company’s shareholders; the ethical responsibility of the enterprise; and its impact on people, communities, and the environment. Previously, Mr. Arbogast spent nine years at Dell, Inc., where he served most recently as Director, Sustainable Business and Dell Giving, working directly with Dell’s Chairman and CEO, Michael Dell. Dell is widely recognized as an environmental leader, and was ranked #1 in the Newsweek survey of all green companies. He also led Dell’s corporate responsibility efforts and Foundation,
ensuring the integration of all Corporate Responsibility platforms as part of the company’s overall mission. Tod also serves as an advisory council member at the Environmental Science Institute at the University of Texas at Austin and the Sustainability Council at Penn State. He is a current member of the Board at NetImpact and a previous Board member of the National Recycling Coalition.
