Michael Browne
Sappi
Michael has 10 years of experience serving the paper industry in a variety of roles including process engineering, operations, sales, and marketing positions. Since 2017 he’s been responsible for growing and developing Sappi’s C1S paper brands for use in label, multiwall bag, and flexible packaging applications. Having spent several years in recycled paper mills, Michael understands the challenges for recovered paper end markets. Sappi’s strong partnerships and understanding of end use requirements are pivotal in bringing renewable paper-based solutions to market and ensuring these packages are recyclable in our existing systems. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and is pursuing an MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business with innovation and sustainability concentrations. He lives in Boston with his wife and son and enjoys their endless adventures in the city and beyond.
