Mark Rossi

Dr. Mark Rossi is the Co-Director of Clean Production Action and Co-Chair of BizNGO. Mark develops innovative collaborations, programs, and tools to advance the use of safer chemicals and sustainable materials. In 2006, he founded BizNGO to bring thought leaders together to define best business practices in selecting safer alternatives to chemicals and materials of concern to human health and the environment. Over 500 leaders from businesses, NGOs, governments, and universities are now part of BizNGO. Mark led BizNGO’s development of its visionary Principles for Safer Chemicals, Guide to Safer Chemicals, and Principles for Sustainable Plastics. He recently received an Environmental Merit Award from US EPA Region 1 on behalf of BizNGO. Mark’s doctorate is in Environmental Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
