
Marianne Klimchuk

Professor Marianne Rosner Klimchuk is an educator, designer, author, and consultant. As the chair of the Communication Design Pathways Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Marianne leads the Associate in Applied Science degree program in Communication Design and the Bachelor of Fine Arts programs in Advertising Design, Graphic Design, Packaging Design, and Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design. With twenty plus years as the head of the Packaging Design Department, Marianne has served as the lead for the only BFA program of its kind in the country. She works to advance the goals of the program and build academic-industry connections across the consumer package goods industry. Marianne is proud that FIT Packaging Design alumni are represented in leadership roles across the global profession.
Marianne works with companies on integrating design thinking, strategy, and best practices in the consumer brand packaging design sector. She is on the advisory board of the EasyFairs ADF&PCD conference; moderates and presents at conferences from New York to Shanghai, including the ADF-PCD conferences and awards; the 28th DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation, the 30th Dow Awards for Packaging Innovation; Package Design Matters; FiFi Best in Package Design Awards, and Core77 Awards. Marianne is the co-author of two books: Really Good Packaging Design (Rockport) and Packaging Design: Successful Product Branding from Concept to Shelf (Wiley).
