Kerry Getter

Kerry Getter is the CEO of Balcones Resources, headquartered in Austin, Texas with operating facilities in Austin, Dallas, and Little Rock. Balcones is the largest independent recycling company in the Southwest and one of the top 50 in the United States and Canada. Balcones is engaged in the business of commercial and institutional recycling, residential recycling, and document and product destruction. Prior to starting Balcones in 1994, Kerry was a regional recycling manager for Waste Management and was employed by a family owned business. He also served as a Director and CEO of a Texas bank holding company. Kerry is a frequent speaker at state and national recycling trade events and is a two-time finalist for the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Kerry attended the University of Pennsylvania and finished his degree at Texas Wesleyan while pitching in the Texas Rangers baseball organization. According to NASA, several of his ill-fated pitches can still be tracked in orbit today.
