Karen Dawson

Karen Dawson, Director of Public Affairs for Cedar Grove, has more than 18 years of experience in the communication field, the past eight of which have been invested in the recycling industry.  Dawson oversees government relations, media relations, strategic communications and corporate and social responsibility for Cedar Grove.

At Cedar Grove, Dawson has built and maintained key relationships with representatives from the community, government, regulatory agencies and non-governmental organizations.  She has worked to build strategic alliances and has extensive experience working with community stakeholders and developing strategic public and community relations plans.

Dawson serves on the King County Solid Waste Advisory Committee and the Corporate Advisory Board for the Issaquah Schools Foundation.  She serves on the Air Quality Committee, the Climate Change Subgroup, the Environmental Affairs Council, the Government Affairs Council and the Regulatory Reform Committee with the Association of Washington Business.
