Julie Rice
Package Insight
Julie Rice is a PhD candidate in Food Technology at Clemson University, where she is a research assistant in the design, prototyping and consumer experience labs. Rice is the lab manager for a biometric-based consumer experience lab, CUshopTM, in which she has efficiently executed over 50 shelf impact and performance studies in both retail laboratories and in real world environments using the most up-to-date mobile eye-tracking technologies. Corresponding with her work at Clemson, Julie works as the Associate Research Director for Package InSight, a full service packaging design and consumer experience company located in Greenville, SC.
Since 2014, Julie has published eight papers in various prestigious packaging journals. During her time at Clemson, Julie has traveled to Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil to present her research at the International Association of Packaging Research Institutes Conference. Julie has also led a team of Clemson undergraduate and graduate students to design and execute a booth at Pack Expo 2015 and 2016. In her spare time, Julie helps mentor teenage girls with a program called TRUE daughters.
