Jay Bolus is one of the most authoritative speakers on the human and environmental impacts of products and materials. Using his extensive knowledge of Cradle to Cradle Design™ applied to products and materials, Jay has the unique insight required to understand a company’s global supply chain to inventory, assess and optimize products. As President of MBDC, a firm co-founded in 1995 by architect William McDonough, his passion is working with product development teams to add business value through continuous improvement. He has worked alongside companies on product optimization, including with C&A, whom Jay worked with to create a line of Cradle to Cradle Certified™ fully compostable t-shirts. Jay has been published in Environmental Science and Technology and was named one of the top 100 most influential people in business ethics by Ethisphere
Magazine. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a Business minor from the University of Richmond and his Master’s of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia.
