David Porter

David joined Campbell Soup Company in 2017 and moved into his current role leading Enterprise Packaging in October 2018. David is responsible for Packaging for the Meals & Beverages division. He also leads the function at a corporate level with responsibility for enterprise-wide initiatives spanning both the Meals & Beverages and Snacks divisions, including development and execution of technology and innovation pipelines, talent development, functional excellence, and packaging sustainability.

Under David’s leadership Packaging has evolved into a strategic part of Campbell’s growth agenda, developing new technologies, materials, and pack formats and combining them with consumer and customer insights to deliver superior package designs and consumer experiences. David also led the development and launch of Campbell’s recently announced packaging sustainability commitments.

Prior to joining Campbell, David spent seven years with Mars Petcare in both global and regional R&D leadership roles. David began his career at Reckitt Benckiser where he spent seven years in Packaging, Category Supply, and Operations Management roles. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Science from Clemson University.
