Why do you want to serve on the Executive Committee?

My background in plastics, flexible packaging and sustainable solutions for the market is the driving force to serve on the Sustainable Packaging Coalition Executive Committee. I have been part of the development of sustainable product concepts from inception to finished commercialized products. This includes compostable, green and recyclable products. Sustainable packaging is a professional passion as well as responsibility to customers and the industry. My background, learnings, failures and accomplishments in sustainable products could be a positive addition to the Executive Committee.

What do you think you would contribute as an Executive Committee representative?

One of the greatest keys and aspects of the success of advancements in sustainable packaging is education. Education of what it means as well as the impact to the product, customer, consumer, and environment. I have worked diligently within my career to present and educate internal and external customers and industry resources on the various sustainable concepts and options. One of my greatest potential contributions is leadership of facilitating or furthering of educational topics and committees through papers and presentations for the Sustainable Packaging Coalition.
