Brian Penttila

Washington State Department of Ecology

Brian Penttila is the Safer Alternatives Chemist at the Washington State Department of Ecology where he leads the agency’s efforts in alternatives assessment. Brian worked previously in chemical and material test method development, product development, and support to manufacturing with the Weyerhaeuser Company. Brian has a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a BS in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering (dual degree) from the University of Pennsylvania.
