Brent Kawamura

Brent Kawamura currently serves as Senior Sustainability Specialist at PCC Community Markets, the nation’s largest consumer-owned food cooperative headquartered in Seattle, WA. Brent is responsible for developing and managing multi-year projects aimed at achieving PCC’s 5-year sustainability goals in packaging, zero waste, energy and water use, refrigeration, EV charging, carbon emissions, and renewable energy. One of PCC’s most ambitious initiatives right now is to eliminate all petroleum-based plastics from its deli by 2022. Prior to his role at PCC, Brent served as a green building consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area. Brent is a LEED AP and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Santa Clara University.
