Brandi Parker
Head of Sustainability
Bio
Brandi Parker started one of the first Sustainability roles on the brand design agency side. Sustainability has been a part of her process and work for at least a decade, when she realized she didn’t want to just perpetuate pretty trash. She has over 20 years experience in the design industry— most of that in packaging specifically. Prior to packaging, she spent a few years in advertising and the tourism industry. As she comes from the technical side of design, her expertise extends to printing, structure, materials, sustainability across verticals, consultation, business development, workflow and planning strategies as well. She’s progressing the discipline of Sustainability forward, drawing deeper connections between our sustainable future and the immense power of design.
Why do you want to serve on the Executive Committee?
I want to serve on the Executive Committee to be a voice of design and the dot-connector amongst materials, manufacturing and industrial expertise. As we are all champions of the Circular Economy, and the concept of Cradle to Cradle— then we must agree that the inception of consumer goods happens at the point of design. Therefore, as a multidisciplinary collective, this should be our focal point for the new generation of circular and harmonious existence.
What do you think you would contribute as an Executive Committee representative?
As a technically-trained packaging specialist, I’ve come of age in the agency world the last twenty years. And, during this time, I have worked across numerous iconic and challenger brands and CPG sectors. I’ve dived deep into various business models and solved complex consumer-facing sustainability problems. I believe my contribution would serve as a kind of glue— or, the ‘lignin’ amongst the fibers, if you will— to the team.
