Ashley has spent the last 13 years bringing sustainable packaging solutions to market with some of the world’s most prominent brands. She led work on the SunChips compostable bag, ultra light-weight Gatorade bottles, PCR content for Unilever, and reducing material and improving recyclability/compostability of McDonald’s packaging. Through a variety of roles, Ashley has gained diverse experience spanning both technical and commercial functions, from start-up to multi-national, in sustainable packaging, consumer goods packaging, product development, and international program management. She has led the development and launch of new packaging and technologies across 5 continents for companies including PepsiCo, Amcor, Unilever, Tata, and Singapore Airlines. Ashley received a DuPont Packaging Award, R&D 100 Award, Chairman’s Award, and a patent for her work on sustainable packaging at PepsiCo. Her current role is Marketing Manager for Recyclable Packaging at Dow. She works with brands, retailers, and converter partners to proliferate the development of recyclable flexible packaging to reduce waste and give consumers a better end-of-life option for their packages. Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. She is originally from southern Indiana, has lived in Dallas, England, Chicago, Miami, and Houston since university, and has also traveled to over 35 countries. Ashley enjoys traveling, reading, dancing, holds a yoga and meditation teacher certification, and is fluent in Spanish.
