SPC Impact 2020

Mar 31, 2020 - Apr 2, 2020 Austin, Texas

Event Information in Regards to COVID-19

Regretfully, we have decided to cancel our SPC Impact 2020 in Austin, TX after closely monitoring Austin’s Public Health guidance as well as the federal and international bodies working directly on measures to contain COVID-19 and the latest from the World Health Organization. While our goal and mission remain the advancement of packaging sustainability and our events are at the heart of our collaboration and learning environment, we want to keep the wellness, safety, and respect of our members and supporters as the top priority. Please refer to attendee email for further information or contact spcinfo@greenblue.org for specific inquiries. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support in this decision.

Rethinking Purpose

The traditional purpose of corporations making business, advancing the economy, producing goods or services and generating profit is being reevaluated in light of the complex challenges of climate change. The urgency to address major environmental sustainability issues such as depletion of resources and marine pollution has increased, along with hyper consumer awareness.

Sustainable packaging is an immensely important challenge and an area of great innovation.

SPC Impact 2020 will find packaging’s place in this big jigsaw puzzle, addressing its important role, beyond corporate, brand and customer initiatives.

Purposefully Doing

Amidst a sea of announcements, goal setting of sustainability targets, this session will zero in on a selection of companies, organizations and forerunners making deliberate and intentional efforts to change fundamental practices.
