Apr 1, 2019 - Apr 4, 2019 Seattle, WA

Stepping up the Pace in Packaging Evolution to Champion Change

The past year has seen numerous initiatives established in response to an explosion of concern around used packaging. Be part of the SPC Impact conversation that is more than just reactive and help set the course that addresses the root cause.

FINDING THE BALANCE: Changing the Discourse

As markets diversify, sustainability challenges have also evolved. Some issues continue to have a prominent role, some have reached a tipping point, and new ones continue to emerge as trends, technology and consumer behavior respond and resources change.

FINDING THE BALANCE: Re-assessing the use of materials

At first glance, many issues in sustainable packaging  revolve around the use of materials. This session will cover high-level perspectives on changing the conversation and approach to tackle challenges; new ways to re-assess materials use and what can be done differently with the accumulated body of knowledge we have around sourcing, performance & environmental fate to ultimately create systemic change.

FINDING THE BALANCE: Creating Systemic Change

Lasting, impactful change requires taking the leap from reactive, to proactive to enduring disruption. How do we close the gap between lofty goals and measurable impacts on the ground?

GETTING TO THE (SUSTAINABLE) HEART OF SEATTLE: SPC member companies and leading organizations working in e-commerce, technology, consumer packaged goods, forest products, recovery and composting, outdoor apparel, professional sports, green building and circular economy will open their doors to our event attendees to visit and experience first hand what makes the Pacific Northwest unique.
