What is COMPASS?

COMPASS (Comparative Packaging Assessment) is a cloud-based streamlined life cycle assessment (LCA) solution tailored for packaging design evaluations. COMPASS puts the power of LCA in the hands of design professionals so that key environmental performance criteria can be easily incorporated into the concept development and material selection steps.

COMPASS provides consistently modeled, industry average data sets for materials and converting processes for packaging to allow reliable apples to apples comparisons. Currently supports nine regions around the world with additional regions in the pipeline.

COMPASS  provides the latest data on the end of life fate for the package in the different regions. This end of life scenario (  % Recycled,  % Incineration and % Landfill) is pre-filled within the software, giving users quick feedback early in the design stage. These percentages can also be modified by the user to simulate different conditions.
